What is just-in-time access?
In short:Just-in-time access grants permissions only when a task needs them and removes them when it ends. Instead of an agent holding broad rights all the time, it receives the minimum for the job at hand. It is the practical route to zero standing privilege for agents.
How does it work?
A policy engine evaluates the request, issues a scoped grant with an expiry and logs it. The grant is revoked or expires after the task.
What does it look like in practice?
Cyera Identity issues ephemeral identities that are decommissioned when the task ends.
